This was a much trickier setting than it would appear.
It’s always a little delicate working the torch on so many thin pieces of silver without melting anything, and then I wanted to have the prongs at the points of the stone to really emphasize the shape. Doing it that way presents a big challenge in getting the stone to sit just right long enough to bite the prongs down, and every bit of pressure as you work your way around risks nudging it askew.
I love how it turned out though – maximum light hitting all the copper schiller (the sparkly inclusions) and clean facets of this ethically mined peach Oregon sunstone, set in Argentium Silver.
UPDATE: 2023-08-12 : This setting is now available in the shop along with Radiant Peridot
